As a working, busy mom, in 2015, Tanya was looking for a way to serve healthy meals to her family. She developed recipes for healthy sauces with pure ingredients without additions. But Tanya thought bigger than her own family. She wanted healthy sauces for all the families in England. And so the Tanya’s Just Real was born. The company, based in England, grew, the kitchen became too small and opportunities for scaling up were sought alongside the techniques to keep the sauces fresh for longer.
Knowledge and Acquaintances
It was then when Tanya became acquainted with Jasper van Altena of Pascal Processing. The preservation technology HPP which is offered by Pascal Processing, ensures that the sauces have a longer shelf life without additives. “We have helped Tanya’s Just Real with knowledge and acquaintances”, says Jasper van Altena. “We invited Tanya to Food Tech Brainport and introduced her to various partners: VanRijsingen Ingredients, the Sauce Company and Pascal Processing. Then we looked with Tanya for the perfect solution for her challenge.”
The result of the collaboration
Tanya was looking for a knowledge partner who thought along with her about the next step as an entrepreneur and especially for scaling up and extending the shelf life of the pure products. A few years later, there is still intensive collaboration with Pascal Processing. At this time, it is challenging in England to ‘conquer’ a place in the retail and catering sector. Jasper: “And with that too we try to help Tanya move forward. We spar with her about marketing her products and the choices that can be made. So it doesn’t stop with the facilitation of technology.”
Even though the market conditions in England are challenging now, Tanya is determined to grow Tanya’s Just Real based on her personal passion And we are happy to contribute to that.
