The Van Rijsingen Green family business has been a well-known player in the market for healthy and fresh foods for over 50 years. It grows and sells a wide variety of vegetable products.
Van Rijsingen Green comprises four additional companies that together manage the entire chain from cultivation to processing. Each company individually contributes to the mission of doing business in a circular way and valuing all raw materials. According to the company, sustainability is an absolute must for continued success. Van Rijsingen Green plays a pioneering role in this area. For example, it prefers to work with regional partners, produces many of its products under Milieukeur and develops new, commercially interesting products from various by-products. Leftovers of carrots, spinach and kale are processed into juices and fibres, which can be used for various products such as sauces, bakery products and meat (substitutes).
Van Rijsingen Green was one of the founders of Food Tech Brainport and is closely involved with the Food Tech Brainport Foundation as a board member. There is collaboration in various projects concerning the valorization of residual flows. Food Tech Brainport has contributed to the realization of a processing and valorization line for Van Rijsingen Green where many tons of vegetables can be processed into juices, concentrates and fibres. In this way we work together to create even more value from residual flows.
