The ‘Stichting Samen Tegen Voedselverspilling’ is the movement of companies and public organizations that join forces for a common goal. Namely, jointly reducing food waste by half by 2030. An ambitious but necessary goal. To this end, we keep 1 billion kilos of good food in the chain in the Netherlands that would otherwise go to waste. By joining forces, we want to make the Netherlands one of the first countries to be able to reduce food waste by half and thus become a frontrunner and a global example.

Food Tech Brainport is one of the founding fathers of the foundation and also fulfills a board function within the foundation. The goals are in line with the goals and mission of Food Tech Brainport. The global challenges we face require change. Through our facilities, knowledge and network(s), we are able to help entrepreneurs who want to get started with their vegetable waste streams. In this way we offer possibilities to turn a residual flow into a main steam again.
